Very few firms can provide comprehensive solutions.
Flodef does.
Flodef sets out to provide its clients with the best possible property flood defence. Flodef is totally focussed on defending buildings from flood.
Flodef has professional staff with the specialist knowledge needed to carry out flood-protection surveys and recommend solutions which are indemnified.
Flodef provides the UK's widest range of own-designed flood protection products and carries out constant research, in its own specialist R&D facility, on new methods of stopping floodwater from entering buildings.
It has its own unique Kitemarked products - the only ones on the market tested to the
UK
’s highest standard for flood protection along with tried and tested products and systems.
It has its own workforce to install all recommended products to high quality standards.
It provides a service contract to suit your's and your insurer’s requirements.
It has links with insurers, which mean that you should be able to find satisfactory insurance at reasonable rates after installation of flood protection.
Flodef’s solutions have a minimal visual impact on your building, and have been accepted on several listed buildings. On normal buildings, planning is not required as Flodef’s is a permanent solution, temporarily deployed in times of flood. The impact on your environment is minimal.
Flodef protects only your building, usually a relatively small part of the land it occupies, so your protection takes up very little of flood plain and has the smallest possible impact on others; in contrast civil defences which often involve knock-on impacts on the environment or on other groups of properties.
As far as possible Flodef uses recycled materials; the ducts housing Flodef’s membranes are built from recycled specialist plastics.
Flodef’s costs are usually only a fraction of the cost of typical civil defences; because they are nevertheless comprehensive they are acceptable to central and local government and fulfil current Environment Agency cost / benefit criteria.
